Any suggestions? I need to drop the tank on my duster and I'm not sure what brand sealer kit to use or if I should use one at all. Only tank I've dropped and cleaned before was the plastic one in my 77 pickup. Any advice from someone thats done it awhile back w/ good results from a particular brand, is what I need. thanks guys.
Dietz

This company has been servicing the antique car biz for years supplying high quality stuff.

One has to follow instructions when sealing a tank, or you will get bad results.

I'd like to add that theres no leaks. Just black flaky stuff that I figure is rust. Basically I want to clean the tank, get the rust out, clean the pickup's sock and put it back in. Do I even need to seal it? I want to do it right the first time, but I don't want to buy stuff I don't have to have either. Any suggestions on how to clean it?

Buy a new tank. Cleaning and sealing tanks is a fools errand when new tanks are available for $150 plus shipping from RockAuto.com

I have a new tank and sending unit on the way for my '67.

Beware, some sealers don't hold up to this new gas foisted on us.

I would have to agree with Josh, just get a new tank. Sealing a tank is a lot of work, and if not done properly you end up with a mess.
