Heard about a fiberglass front end for sale. Supposed to fit early Valiant/Cuda. Went to check on it, and to my supprise, it was not just a front end. It was a one piece tilt nose for a 66 Valiant, both doors, deck lid, and both bumpers. Needs some repair work, but is servicable. Now I need to find one other thing. MONEY

Charrlie, you forgot to give us directions.
A Google map link would be okay.
Honest, I only want to go see it.

Wow. I'd be interested in part or all of that, esp decklid. Feel free to PM.

Actually, I forgot to see if the lid was Valiant or Cuda (only part that would be different). I would like to get this stuff, but if it doesn't look like I can get the money, within about a week, I will post where it is at.

Wish I had money and storage for that... I'd love another 66' Val in my driveway.

Somewhere around 200lbs depending on how you do it.

I would think a lot more than 200 you get almost that just from the bumpers.

The early A bumpers don't weigh nearly that much Frank. Neither do the fenders, doors, etc..

No crash bracing like the Dusters.

Is it really worth it then? 200#'s for a bunch of fiberglass?

OK, I forgot about bumpers. 250-300 is probably more accurate. Would save about 60-70 lbs from bumpers. 280 lbs off a 2800 lb car is a lot in my book.

If I can get the parts, I plan on putting them on my 66 Valiant. Right now, the car does not have a hood, grill or front bumper, and weighs exactly 2500 lbs. So I would lose some weight off the deck lid, rear bumper, and doors. Would gain weight on the front end. Guessing on a net loss of 100 lbs, to 2400 lbs.

It depends on how serious you are. If you have every other ounce of weight out of the car and are still too heavy, yes, it is worth it. :D
