I am converting to a dual master cylinder on my 1965 Signet , I have read the previous posts that recommend the Raybestos Master Cylinder MC36338 and the Distribution block BLK-250.

The Raybestos master cylinder is easy to get, the supplier recommends distribution part number BLK-243.

Anyone use this distribution part (BLK-243).

I am retaining the 4 wheel drum brakes(Non-Power).

Thanks

When retaining the stock drums but adding the dual MC, I have had good results using the existing dist. block, plugging the one block line to the rear and running fresh plumbing from the MC to the rear.
Super simple process, illustrated here:

That (MC36338) might not be the right master cylinder for you. I think it's for disc/drum power assist. You need one for like an all-drum 67 Dart, with 10 psi residual pressure valves built in. The disc/drum ones have 2 psi front and 10 psi rear. The tech guys at Rock Auto have to call Raybestos every time you ask them a question. Hard to get specifications for some reason.

MC36338 is the correct master cylinder for 4-wheel 9" drums without power boost. Also Bendix 11516 (same unit).

OK, checked it out, Dan is right as usual. Rockauto has MC36338 listed for a 73 Dart with drum/drum, non-power assist. I must have looked it up wrong last time. It would be great to get a list of specs from the manufacturer. I'll look into it.

I've done several like this as well and it really is easy. This is also a good time to assess your 44 year old brake lines if they have never been replaced. You also want to make sure that all your wheel cylinder bleeders are free. If they break off you will need a new cylinder since they can't be extracted (easily).
