Allen and I made it home safe... along with Randy Jones who followed us there and back, in his green 62 Lancer. :D
I told a few people that I had a few startiling moments ... when I would look-up in my rear view mirror, right thru my toad's windows, to see another green Lancer, back in the distance. A "did the tow bar come off" moment of fear, for sure.

Anyway... I am going to start a Las Vegas Race results thread for all the photos and details.

We got home early afternoon Sunday. It was great to see everyone and meet some new folks too. One of the highlights was meeting "Mrs. Doctor Dodge" and the lovely Christine. Christine stayed behind at the buffet line to show us to the table. She also quickly and efficiently managed a seating snafu. Congrats to Tristan on his win and hats off to Doug for a 12.73 / 104 mph run just as the tower announcer was explaining how the slant six cars were a little slower than others. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Hey there all...

We made it home after a VERY LONG DELAY...

DAY 1

As we were headed out of Las Vegas, and approaching the thriving Metropolis of Primm, NV. my truck (hauling Rhonda's Race Car) decided it was time to stop running and pulled over and died. It appearred as if there wasn"t enough fuel being supplied... After some jocking around of vehicles and trailers and changing out the set up on Rhonda"s car to drive it on the road... THANK YOU ANDREW !!!! Without you we would have been stuck there. Andrew parted out his pully from the DRAG CAR in order for Rhonda to drive her car. (WE HAD THE WRONG SIZE PULLY>>> TOO DEEP)

Jess and Rhonda drove back to Las Vegas to get a UHAUL in order to tow my truck. We had stopped in Kettleman City for the night and caught a few zzzzz's very few.

DAY 2

On the road again at 3:30ish. I had a flat while using Andrew's trailer at about 4ish. On hell of a firework show.... Glad nothing happened to the rim and trailer. THANK YOU ANDREW!!!!!!!

Then upon getting home to Eureka Jess and Andrew trailered us home to Crescent City ( Truck dropped of in Eureka)..

THANK YOU ANDREW!!!...

I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE A "CHEVY" TO A "MOPAR" EVENT.... Lesson Learned..

Other than that It was a great time. Was nice to see everyone again. Andrew kicked some butt on the track...

Cant wait to get the 64 Dart from Marty... I have been bitten...

AGAIN THANK YOU ANDREW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally made it home. It took us two days to drive to Seattle from Las Vegas. On the way back, I came down with a bad cold and Deb got a bad toothache. The good news is we're going to Woodburn with all of you. Deb is hooked on mopar so she's pushing me to finish the dart by then.
