I've got a 68 Dart GT project car that I can rob the front sway bar off of because I will go to a larger or different suspension on the 68 when I restore it. Can this go on the 65 Dart?
I'm seeing some pretty high dollar pieces out there and need to scrimp on this particular project.

simple answer -- no-- the a bodies were changed starting in 1967 to a little wider stance-- new "K" frames-- etc... Your 68 pieces should sell for enough to allow you to purchase the items needed for your 65.
Do a search on sway bar-- it has been discussed-- you will find some useful info.

Ill argue you can make mounts to make it fit. Its not a bolton.

Greg, thanks for the link. I have a sway bar I got for cheap and have zero idea what it is exactly for. The PO promised it was for an A-Body but wasn't sure what year, so I'll be in the same boat you were. The pics in the link are great except the first one isn't hosted anymore. nope, only bolted it.

I used a '75 A body factory sway bar on my '65 Dart. Requires cutting and welding of the K-member.

The front suspension mounting points don't change over the years, this is why you can take the front suspension from a '75 Dart and bolt it onto a '65 Dart without any problems. The only think that changed over the years was the K-member, center link, idler arm and pitman arm.
