I have a 1968 Slant six and want to know what the base timing for it should be( I have tried a search). Its at 16 degrees at idle now. Thanks.

Factory spec is Something silly like 5 BTDC BUT if you use the search function and search for recurving distributors you would see that THAT setting is nonsense - I myself are running 12.5 BTDC
