WOW, great responce to my inquiry. What an amazing variety for an "economy" engine. Most people don't realize what can and has been done to the slant (myself included). Now if they would only list these in the Speedway catalog life would be good.

man where do you get that offy 2x2? That's even cooler than the offy 2x1. And yeah its a shame most people regard the slant as only good for base model passenger cars. i think tricked out slants look way cooler than v8's.

Offy don't make a 2x 2bbl intake. They make a 2x 1bbl intake with carburetor mounting pads large enough to open and redrill to mount a 2bbl instead of a 1bbl.

Chrysler-built intakes (not including South African ones 68Barracuda mentions, nor engineering prototypes):

[*]1967+ cast-iron marine 2bbl
[*]1967+ cast-iron export 2bbl (probably same as marine)
[*]1967+ cast-iron Australian-made 2bbl
I know there are a lot of one of these iron manifolds floating around ebay but none seem to line up by the description. Which of these is the one used on U.S. cars/trucks?

Argh. That's 'cause I left off the North American cast iron 2bbl with EGR starting in '76. I've added that and a couple of other omitted manifolds to my list now.

I'd still like to actually see one of these.  Image

And to prevent being badged as a hot air manifold purveyor

The Manifold Project is still a go............very SLOW go but still a go.

The Squadcar Package - correct name for the Long Ram style 2 X 2 will be first of the line - please be patient...Doc knows these things take time

The BG Atkikinsons Power Pack Will be Next - shorty with "dualplane" design.

I am thinking that there was a 3X2, and maybe a 3X1. JCWhitney sold them and there wasn't a brand listed in the ad.

I am not sure if there was both of these available for the slant. I was in to 240 Fords at the time

Anyone have a picture of the Brazillian lawnmower carb manifold Dan talked about in his link? Sounds cool, but do those carbs flow enough?

I would also love to see a pic of that Brazilian 6 carb setup.

I don't think that there were any 3x1 intakes made for the Slant. I spent a little time about a year ago hunting for any info on one. All I found were ones for F and C. Even contacted Offenhauser, but they said they have never made one for the Slant that took 3 stock carbs.

Here's a photo of the newer version of the Hurricane 6 by AussieSpeed. There is no US outlet for them, but they can be imported individually. USD strong against Australian dollar at the moment. Shipping still kind of steep. Item now called HL-6.
