 Post subject: strange spark at coil??

Chasing down a small clicking noise, I just found that when I turn my ignition switch OFF, there's a small single spark at the coil. When I pulled the coil wire off the coil & held it close to the coil where it plugs in, the spark will jump to the coil wire. '64 A100 van W/ stock 225. Any ideas??

Yep, that's it. Dumb electronic ignitions keep the coil full on most of the time and turning off the ignition causes the unit to switch off the coil which produces a spark. Perfectly normal behavior.

I've seen them spark when you first turn them on too... Chris got to experience that first hand, he was the one that got bit!
