Well, I was trying to adjust my carb today and It seems that my carburator doesnt have an idle limiter and mixture adjustment screw. After I rebuilt the carb the last time I never even adjusted it or anything. Can you buy one at a parts store or do I have to get one off of another carb?

oh yeah. probably would help if I added some info.. haha. Its a holley 1945 carb. I looked at the PDF listed on the site and noticed that the idle mixture screw is supposed to be on there with a spring and a screw. mine doesnt have it.

Is the screw missing and there is an empty hole? Or is it plugged up? I had a 1945 on my car an swapped it, by suggestion from people here, for a 1920 Holley, its a much simpler carb to work on.

Well, I looked at it today and I see the opening, where its supposed to screw in, and i couldnt really tell if there was a plug or not. I'm guessing its plugged off because its not running really really bad. but its running really rich when i first take off and when i first start it. blowing out puffs of black smoke.
