Hey Everyone,

Wiseco pistons has really been supportive of us with bringing new forged pistons to market with the "K1/Wiseco Deal". There will soon be four different bore sizes to choose from to go along with the 7.005" K1 Technologies rods.

terrylittlejohn asked if there was consideration for a forged piston for the stock 225 rod application, so I thought I would start a new thread so people can chime in with interest and ideas.

I believe there will ALWAYS be interest in these pistons w/ stock rods. It would allow a good number of folks to get forged pistons than can afford the combination.

thanks for putting this out there, i would be interested and i hope others that want a choice, even if they are twice the price of a stock replacement piston, in a better piston with a bigger bore (0.080-0.100).

I am all for it.. I am tossing around what Pistons to get For my Valiant project Anyway.. With The cam I am getting I will have to notch em so You can only not Hypertutic's and Cast pieces so Far.

Just wondering out loud......Would it be a good thing to put some added height on the piston say.050 (over stock) to help with the compression ratio on a stock mill. Since this is a forged piece it would be easy do do and ALL of our slants have at least .150 in the hole( stock). This would help the guys that arent into working out the numbers and get them closer to "factory" specs. Remember the engine came with a .020 steel shim head gasket and your putting a composite back on, which doesnt help the compression at all.
Any feedback?

Yes and no

I think it depends on the application.. The low in the hole pistons work great for turbo or Supercharged stuff.. But I would like to see the pistons be Waaaay Lighter than the stock stuff.. The same thing can be accomplished by head and block milling.
