Yep, I'll probably never get a rack in a car... Next up for the '64, since I finally got the tubular sway and new front end sorted, is new rear springs to replace the 20yr old work hardened ones on there and drop it a little out back. New cast crank motor is taking shape too.

We have done one job in America this year. I have almost zero interest from America since Oct. The contacts we are getting are mostly from California. They all hinge on what this spring brings. Our one order was a personal tipi to a US gulf island.....within site of Canada.

Our western Canadian market has been very strong in spite of a late spring. (we pitched 60 tipis in snow to our knees last week) All my camping industry charitables report a 1/3 drop in funds from donations as corporate donations dry up. (Exception: Tim Hortons Childrens Foundation)
Traditional tipi campsites sales are up. ....as the public seek cheaper experiences.
Aboriginal programs (especially schools) are using tipis more and more as program tools. Funding agencies are now accustomed to funding these programs as they are easy to setup and maintain.
Older/mature organizations see this as a time to build.

America will require me to present a passport as of June 1....I still dont have a plan for that.
America is in a deep recession. Nobody calling us.

.....Id like to go back to Virginia though....

Hi Ron! Yes, I believe that is your intake. We had to have one on to level the motor side to side.

Good luck with your cleanup.

I am also in the middle of house hunting. I will actually have a garage at home soon too. :D

Got a little work in on the car today. The steering wheel is once again connected to the rack, and the rack to the steering arms. You can now almost turn the rack lock to lock. Before the tires would hit in the fenderwells before you got halfway through rack travel. Jeff Long is going to be a happy camper when he sees how much room he has to route the headers out too.

We also started mocking up the seat and pedals. We will move the brake pedal/master cylinder over toward the outside of the car aboot 3 inches, and the gas pedal over an inch or so.

We are also designing brackets to mount the seat and belts in a legal and safe manner, and to replace the driver's side floor altogether. What is in there now is just too hilljack for me. :shock:

Finally got back to doing a little work on the car today. Patrick has the seat mount figured out, we raised the steering column, tacked in the gas pedal, and I cleaned up the bracket for the master. We also test fitted the trans tunnel.

Patrick has been working on his Masters in engineering, so his time has been limited. :D

Patrick has been busy working on the firewall. He's a little over half done with it now. I did some fab work making plates to repair the master cylinder bracket we cut out, and a new trans mount to put the motor where we want it. All in all, a good day. :D
