My temp gauge is acting up. Sometimes it works like a champ, sometimes it doesn't. I've been trying to observe if there are a set of conditions under which it works, but it's all so random ie; first thing in the morning after a cold start - works fine. Halfway to work (20 mile commute) - bubkes. Start up after 8 hour shift - nada, halfway home in heavy traffic - works fine. Substitute nearly any permutation and result is totally random. My thought is the sensor is going as all the other dash gauges are working as they should (replaced dash voltage regulator last fall and didn't start having these troubles until a week or so ago).
Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Nat

I'd check first for a flaky connection between the sender and the gauge; probably a loose pin on the multipin connector on the back of the dash.
