Dear all,

I do own a 1975 Dodge power wagon truck. The ride is really bouncy so I decided to check if the springs are too stiff for my truck (or my shock absorbers are $#!+). There are many spring rate calculators around but I need to determine which spring rate I need which I guess the paremeters should include front weight of my car (unsprung weight), axle+tire weight (spring weight).. etc. Or do i just check it with the static sag of the leaf?

Thanks

Call a place that re-arches springs, they should know the spring rate(distance between eyes OFF the vehicle+ # of leafs). Depending on how old your shocks are you may just change them, they should not cost much. I just had my car springs re-arched to stock +2" and it made a world of difference. They had helper springs from the previous owner.
