Since Exner Geek is selling me the modified Bellhousing for the T5(My vote for Man of the year :D ) I need info on what everyone is running as far as clutch,PP,linkage...etc...wit their T5 slants.Any tips greatly appreciated.

My plan is to go yarding for a T5 out of a fox body stang, and one out of a late 80's early 90's chubby s-10.I will then swap the talishaft off the s-10 trans onto the mustang trans for the better shifter location. What I have found: The TKO-600 that Keisler sells for A bodys measures 12.68" from front of case to front of shifter. The s10 is 11.74".

Since the TKO-600 puts the shifter in the perfect spot to run the factory automatic console modified for the shifter,I should be in pretty good shape.May have to move the console up about an inch, but that would be no big deal.

I have been talking with a guy on moparchat who swapped the s-10 trans into his SB A body.He says it was almost a bolt in deal, and should provide near perfect placement for the shifter with the console. He will be sending me pictures of where the shifter pops through. He also used the stock s10 hydraulic clutch master cyl, which he said was also almost a bolt in deal.I am keeping my fingers crossed! I have to have a 5 speed, and I have to keep my stock console,so I hope it will work out.If not I may have to sneak into keisler at night and liberate a trans for my Dart.

Thanks

raPoM,

Please use the search function on this site. There is a lot of info on T5 and related swaps. Last posts were maybe a year ago.

Lou

Ok the guy on moparchat sent me this picture. Its of a s10 T5 mounted in a 68 valiant:

He says he thinks its perfect,he really likes the shifter location. I am thinking I may be able to use the stock console if I move it up about 2 inches and cut a slightly larger hole for the shifter to pop through(larger than the factory 4 speed hole that is). What say you?

You just click on the "Search" button at the upper right of this forum page, then type in "T5". Your computer's software should have nothing to do with this site.

Then I do not know what the problem is. I am not retarded,I know how to click the search button.Every time I put anything in the search box,I get an error message. You guys can stop telling me to search, its not working.I have put in every term I can think of slant six related(and some not) and still the same thing.

I would not just throw up some random post asking for info readily availible,I always do my research.

Two results for my search "T5 swap bellhousing".

I would try clearing your browser cache and cookies and trying the search again.

OK, yep, could be browser cache or some such. Sorry if I sounded accusatory...

The 2nd one Josh posted has a bunch of other links inside it.
