I got tired of my friends smack talking my slixer so i am gonna show them what REAL power is.

What will I need for a bone stock slant six to have a 22 PSI turbo and be able to handle it?

I would also like to know the road drivability and whatever. As it is also my daily driver ATM.

I would like to know what turbo types you all put on your sixes for 22 PSI.

I want to show my friends that the slant six isnt some piece of junk engine.

PS I dont know jack about turboing a slant six.

(9I heard there are hemi heads for the 225 slant six, any thing about that you all can tell me about?))

No Hemi heads for the slant, 4 major types (phases) but all work good. Only one that Really matters is the 81-87 as it is Hydrolic lifters, it wont swap to other years easly.
As for 22 PSI one of the guys here is running that much.

Not that I have done much else than buying the turbo yet, but anyway

1. get a car to drive while you mess with this

2. uh...why 22? You could get that easily, if you made the carb/intake is restrictive enough, but the engine would not see that number...

3. you need a good fuel system

I hope someone who has been there will say something

A buick GN turbo will do what you want and put the car into the 12s. You will have to fabricate everything yourself as there are no kits. As mentioned, you will need another car as this is not a weekend project.

Would that 22 psi of boost be because that's the limit on a 2.5 bar MAP sensor?

You'll definitely want to get another car as a daily driver for this; plan on it taking a lot more time and money than expected.

Budget for an extra engine or two! Holding a turbo engine together is more about tuning than anything else. Nothing will keep it together if it is not set up right.

Of course It wont be a weekend job, but im just asking after i have it set up and tuned can I still drive it around daily like I would before i installed and tuned the turbo?

I'm running a holset hx35 and that may be a cheaper turbo being it is an oem cummins turbo and a lot of diesel guys are tossing them in favor of a bigger one.tune it well and it will live no problem. have fun fabricating

BTW any 4bbl carb anyone suggests? I am thinking of Edelbrocks atm

After turbo setup can the stock /6 rear end handle the power?

LOL I was thinking of putting taxi paint job on my dart call it "Jones' Screaming Taxi Co." or some stuff, maybe not we will see

Edelbrock carb floats are supposed to crush above about 5psi of boost (blow through).

You need better brakes...

Cameron Tilley's grocerygetter/rocketship has run 10.69 @ 127 or so on ET street tires, and 10.90s or so on crap street tires. It looks and sounds like stock, and weighs about 3300 lbs.

Check Here. That site will show you how to make a blow thru carb from a Holley or one of its clones. I have a Holley 600DP and turbo66valiant has a 575 Demon I believe.
