Not much to say other then the fact that the "Dutra" Hyper-Pak intake is a reproduction of the factory's H-Pak manifold of the early 60's... with some extra fuel distribution work and a number od "special" variations made.

In total, there were 40 made with the Dutra name on them... then the casting equipment was sold to Jack Clifford and they put their name on the manifold and made about 50 units.

It would be nice to know which each one is called in the picture. I am new but i like the look of the 2nd one down on the left. it seems to be a dual single set up, that might be nice for a mild build up. great thread I learned alot!

The dual carb manifold is made by Offenhauser. They are still available new today, and you can also buy the special linkage setup for it. They are easy to convert to dual two barrel setups, and some have been modified to hold two Weber carbs.

You can find this manifold used as well as new. Here is one on eBay:

Does this intake work with the stock exhaust manifold? They look very nice. Which is better for a 1960s Slant Six- this one, or the Mopar Super Six 2 bbl?

Also, this Offenhauser unit is listed as fitting 60-68 Slants, but that timespan covers the rod-actuated carb type linkage as well as the cable era. Will this manifold work with the old style accelerator linkage, or will I need to source up a later model accelerator cable, as I would need to do with the super six conversion?

I had the dual one-barrel Offenhauser intake milled to take 2 deuces. Offy did this for no extra charge.

I bought two 32/34 DFT Webers from Langdon's Stovebolt Engines. Two matched carbs for $180! These were used on the '82-'83 Ford Escort 1.8L engine. Two of them are perfect for the slant six. I got their linkage kit and modified it slightly, but it works wonderfully. I had to machine a bracket that bolts to manifold with the two bolts holding the intake and exhaust (Dutra Dual, rear) manifold together. The throttle cable goes in the center of the linkage as well as the kickdown cable.

The jets are likely not as large as they should be, as I had to turn the adjustment screws out a bit further than recommended, so I'm at the far end of adjustment, but they work great! I matched the linkages so they open syncronously. The primaries are fuel efficient and when wanted, the secondaries provide plenty of fuel (and sound like a four barrel). The Offenhauser distributes fuel/air very evenly to the vaunted six.

Forgot to mention: K&W makes air cleaners to fit these carbs, but it doesn't quite fit, you have to take about 1mm of material from the inner side of the aperture so it'll fit onto the carb. See: http://www.knfilters.com/search/product ... od=56-9015

Also, you have to use the Holley (or similar) fuel pressure regulator, as the Webers will flood if you don't keep the fuel pressure down to about 3-4 psi. Holley sells a pressure regulator that works great, See: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-12-804/overview/

That is a Clifford intake for three 2bbl Weber side drafts.
