I'm upgrading to the 11.75" BBP Disc setup on my 71 duster. It sees 350+ miles a week in daily commuter fashion.

What else should I do to it while its apart? I will be adding a sway bar at a minimum. Haven't figured out what brand yet. I have a set of LCA with stock swaybar tabs on it, may use those. Is it worth adding the stiffening plates to the bottom?

What about the solid strut rod mounts? Worth it for a street car, or will they wear out too quickly? Maybe compromise with a middle of the road solution and use poly bushings here?

Already has 0.890 (or was it 0.920"?) bars and KYB shocks. Are the Edelbrock IAS or other shocks worth the money or should I put it towards other upgrades?

I don't know if there are any other new doo-dads that came out for these front ends, haven't payed attention much to this area of the car in some time. Anything else I should put some thought into?

Has anything changed brand wise interms of quality for general things like balljoints, or is it still hit and miss?

Firmfeel stuff is spiffy. I think my k-frame is fine the way it is, maybe next time I have the motor out I can beef it up.

I'm using the stock 73-76 UCA with the offset bushings. I already have their 20:1 manual box. Their sway bar is definitely a possibility.

I was thinking of 11/16" tie rod setup. Are seemless tubing ones that superiour? Wonder if anyone else makes them.

I was referring to the RMS strut rods in my original posts. I'll have to contact Bill and see what he says about putting them on the street.

Use rubber strut rod bushings on the street. Unless you are road racing you don't need anything stiffer. I used heim jointed strut rods on my race car, but it was a gutted and caged closed course racer.

.920" torsion bars are a good start. Sway bar would be a must. I think the big tie-rod assemblies are over hyped.

I need to get on the ball and put my 20:1 parts in my steering box. 24:1 sucks when carving corners. I run 1.04" torsion bars and QA1 shocks.

I don't know if they help any but I made some for my LCA's and put them on. It's easier while you have them out. Make sure the adjuster access holes allow plenty of room for a socket. The plates do add a little unsprung weight.

Yeah, made some for my swinger out of 3/16" mild steel. I'm sure they help considering the design of the originals. I think they cost me a few dollars and an afternoon. If you have a welder and a decent plasma cutter they're a snap to fab.

Yep, FirmFeel bar should be here next week. Wheels should be here tomorrow... lets see only thing left are the balljoints/bushings/etc.

sweet! you also might want to throw in some stiffer Torsion bars. that you do need the front end torn apart for. good shocks are a must too

I have KYB's on there now. I thought about the Edelbrock IAS but for the price I'd rather put it into something else.

Torsion bars are... I forget what I put in, 0.890" or 0.920" were from last front end upgrade.

On the shock issue, are Bilsteins or Konis available that will fit in an A-body? My Cuda that was redone in the 80's has Koni shocks, but I don't see them for Mopars anymore.

I had Kyb's and went to Eddies. I noticed a big difference, but not sure if it was worth it for the price. I'd try the QA1's. I use the solid heavy duty strut rods from espo and rubber bushings. I've had no problems with em. not sure if you really need adjustable. everything else is poly bushings. handles awesome but its squeeky.
