saw these and wasnt sure if a. the springs are the same for all those years, and b if they would be worth anything near 100. he listed before, should be able to pick them up for a little less, mine need recurved or replaced badly.

I've heard that super stock springs are for drag racing, and may have too much arch for good road handling. When one side loads up in a turn, it causes extra steering in the rear suspension.

I had what I believe was super stock springs on my Dart, the car felt like it had a hinge in its middle. It was dreadful, unstable on uneven ground, unpredictable on long sweepers. I got the proper springs per SSDan from ESPO after a phone call for a real decent price, as what I needed was not listed on their site.

thanks, ill look into it, im realizing now why the po put coilovers on the rear, but they dont fit with my new gas tank, so a recurving or new ones are in order...

Andy I forgot, my Dart also had coil-over's when I got it. They were tight, but did fit with some contact at large suspension angles. These devices tend to stress the shock mounts.

If you can scrap all the old stuff, and purchase new, correct ride height rear springs & shackle bushings, you will be much happier, and your car will be more stable.

I just went through my invoice pile, jeezemrice I've blown a lot of dough on this heap in the last year, and found ESPO charged me $112.50 per spring (6 leaf), 12 bucks for shackle bushings, and $57.46 to get all that iron to Downeast Maine on 10/28/2008 from PA.

i did just throw on kyb's on the back, and it feels a lot better, but the leaf springs arent really doing their part. ill see what i can find around here..thanks!

JC Whitney had a "Spring Special" a bit ago. I picked up a set for ~140 bucks, and free truck freight.
Keep your eyes open.
Probably made in India from real "re-seasoned metallic like material," but they seem to be OK.

If your Super stock springs rode badly you bought the wrong weight springs. I have them on my 71 swinger and they were previously on my 70 Valiant. Both cars did ride stiffer than the worn out bubble gum stockers but the ride is far from harsh. Weigh your car then get the springs that are rated for the weight. My valiant was 2850 with out me in it so I got 2800 pound springs. If I had gotten 3300 pound springs it would have ridden like a tractor.
