I have a stock 1966 Plymouth Barracuda 3 speed w/a 225 Slant Six motor. I just replaced the original 1bbl intake manifold w/a 2bbl Super Six manifold. The carburetor that came w/the 2bbl manifold will not hook up to my throttle linkage properly. What kind of 2bbl carb should I install? How can I make the linkage work again? [/b]

Welcome to the forum. It's not just that easy to super six. Look in the Search section under Super Six and it will tell you all the parts and pieces you need to change around to make it work.
Some of the parts needed are: Two barrel air filter (one from a 318 might work), throttle return spring and brackets, shorter throttle cable, special kickdown linkage (if you've got an automatic transmission), and the correct 2 barrel theromostatic choke pulloff coil. There is also the issue of the larger exhaust (fron 1 3/4 " to 2 1/4 ") to make it all work right. I probably forgot something, but do the search, it's very informative and does pretty much walk you through the swap.
Good luck
Joe

I'm almost done with my super six conversion on a 73 dart.
I put on an aftermarket throttle linkage (about twenty bucks)
and it worked out fine. I have an auto trans so the shop is going
to do the kickdown for me next week. The super six article link
you were refered to helped me a lot. Choke Coil pull-off is no
longer available through Napa, I'm still looking for one. e-mail
drgr2@msn.com if you want to swap photos. Good luck.
Dan

The key issue with the 66 swap is that the rod type 1bbl linkage needs to be swapped-out for the later cable type throttle linkage and related kickdown linkage parts.

If you need any guidance on how things on your super six should look, I posted pics of my project a while back. It might be helpful.

I also have a choke pull off coil for a two barrel super six set up. 15.00 if you want it.
