I just put my motor back in my '70 dart with an R.V. cam in it. I've got her running, but cannot seem to get the timing just right. I would welcome any advice I can get. I'm not very knowledgeable, I just fumble around until I think I've got things right.

Thank you,
Aidan

What do you have the timing set at while at idle? Unless you have the distributor locked down the timing will increase as you increase RPM up to around 2200 to 2500 RPM.

There are a lot of people on here that can help, but I think we will all need some more info to do so.

Tell us more about this rebuild as it pertains to the timing. Ignition, chain, how you set it up etc.

I know it seems daunting to write it all out, however without doing that we are all pretty much in the dark on where to start.

You need to purchase a timing light. It will prove to be very handy over and over again as you tune the engine after break in.

Is the cam advanced for more torque? If so, how much?

Tell us how it was installed.
