ok ive narrowed it down two carbs the holley 390 or the 570 street avenger. has enyone used the street avenger on a slant? i know the 390 is about the best for the engine, but i was wondering what the 570 would do compared to the 390

also which carb is easyer to tune for a beginer who has had holleys taken apart but never tuned them.

and could i get some tuning tips?

Street Avengers are crap. The metering blocks are weird and the emulsion characteristics are odd. They are lean until you give them a little more jet and then they are pig rich. Brennan tried one and got rid of it. You're much better off with the vacuum secondary 390. I've had good luck with the Holley 390 in stock form.

390 will be great. I also like the 350 and 500 2bbl Holleys.

Are you coming to the Wilkesboro race on the 11th?? Would love to see you there - guaranteed fun.

Lou
