Hello, I wanted to install a emergency flasher system in the 66 Dart my son and I are restoring. I'm not sure if the 66 year had them from factory. I have read conficting articles. Does anyone have any thought on how to do this. Are there after market kit avail. Thanks to all for info. Ed & Jeremy

Hazard flashers were not factory-installed equipment until 1967 or '68. They were available as an option, generally dealer-installed. Very scarcely ever seen. See this post for options and links to other signal light upgrades.

I added an emergency flasher to the TMC 65 Barracuda (http://www.tidewatermoparclub.com/Givea ... /2001.html); I drew power from the fuse box main via an inline fuse, ran it through a hazard flasher to good quality illuminated SPST switch, then used 4 diodes (~6A rating) to the 4 turn signal wires at the steering column connector. I mounted the switch inconspicuously under the left side dash. Worked great and was easy to install while I had the wiring out.

Long ago I bought a Taiwanese ("avoid undesirable accidents!") aftermarket 4PST illuminated hazard switch with flasher from JCWhitney, but I've not seen it advertised for many years. Also worked fine.
