That will work. Are you going for a short performance tire like a 225/50R15 or something more moderate? I really liked my '64 Valiant lowered on 225/50R15s. 215/60R15 is a good fit too if the car isn't too low.

I'm thinking 225/60R15. They're a little taller than the original 13s but that will partially compensate for the 3.55:1 rear gears.

That's going to be a tight fit up front. 215/60 are only 12mm shorter.

I don't want to trim the openings and I don't want different sizes front and rear. I think when the wheels get here I'll take some measurements and see if I can tell what makes sense.

When I bought my first '62 Signet in '69 I found a set of 13" chrome reverse wheels in a junkyard. They were dirty and rusted but they cleaned up really nice. I picked up a set of baby moons at GI Joe's to complete the look. I really liked that combination, so after a lot of back and forth and discussion, I decided to go back with the same style only updated.

The wheels got here last week and they really look good. Now I've got to get my @$$ in gear and get the diff finished and put under the car and the front disk brakes put on so I can mount the wheels and decide which tires to use. I'm leaning toward the 215-60R15 but I want to do some measuring first.

Thanks for the offer and I just might take you up on it. I'll be off on a road trip to Oregon next week. When I get back I'm going ot concentrate on getting the rear end finished and put under the car. Right now it's so hot I really have a hard time getting out there and sticking with it for more than a few minutes at a time. It should be cooling down in a few weeks.
