HURRICANE SL6 BLOWER INTAKE GROUP BUY

Hello Slant 6 Gearheads,

For the initiated, AussieSpeed Performance Products and Pentastar Parts & Restorations are offering Slantsix.org members an opportunity to purchase our Hurricane SL6 Blower intake manifold at better than usual prices based on a combined 'Group Buy' deal. At this stage there has been no confirmed price for this products however I hope to be able to provide this information sometime next week, for this reason I understand that it is difficult to make a guaranteed commitment to make this purchase. However, right now I am not looking for a commitment, I would however like to determine how many interested parties we have in relation to this group buy.

For the uninitiated, this product is the same platform as our popular Hurricane 2 & 4-barrel intakes, however has been specifically manufactured to be compliant to bolting on the Eaton M90 blower.

Thanks for your consideration, I look forward to hearing your interest.

kind regards,
Ray Webb (Jr)

See here http://www.pentastarparts.com.au/classic/blown-225.html I had posted this in another thread in the engine section, I guess you guys missed it. I believe this is Ray's car. If it is, have you got any updated pics Ray?

Good point Josh, maybe an early casting. Ray should be able to fill us in.

I would be in IF there was an operating unit in use already.

From the pics the hood clearance looks... ummm.... tight if you want an air cleaner and it looks like a custom blower drive (shaft?) needs to be made for alignment (bolts aren't tight to the blower case. I assume the drive length needs to be extended).

Other than those unknowns, I'm all in!!!! (once someone works out the details  )

If I could post pictures.... I have pics of the first blower manifold up and running. It looks good. As mentioned the snout is a special piece for the M90. The one Ive seen doesnt have a hood on it. I dont think there is a way to clear the hood with this set-up and a draw thru carb with an air cleaner.
However the Experts can chime in.

I would like to see this group buy for the 1st of Sept as I will need to recharge my batteries(money) from the 4 bbl group buy that just closed.
Thanks,
Frank

It's a hat with butterflies like you see on top fuel cars (or 99% of any blown application)

If it wont clear a hood or even a swinger style scoop I am not interested.
I went back and looked at what Al T did with his and forgotten that his is EFI with the blower's air intake on the back of the blower. This intake would probibly work great for a similar application.

Or... a dragster  Right Frank?

I have pictures of a running one on the prototype manifold. It look great. As I understand it you can get the whole package from them. Or jus tthe pieces that you need/ want.
