What is the best paint for restoring the factory steel wheels? My options range from Rustoleum, engine paint, or industrial epoxy, to a full blown automotive finish.

Also, what color/finish were they originally? Was it a full gloss black, or a semi-gloss?

I would go industrial Epoxy, Semi gloss.
Do good prep work and they should last forever,
