I've got the push-button atx in my dart, and I've noticed, during the past few times that I've driven, it feels like there's not the positive engagement there used to be. It feels like a manual tranny with the clutch being let out too slow.

Any ideas? I know the fluid may be a tad low, but it's above the add mark.

Probably overdue for a fluid and filter change and a band adjustment. The '63-style filter is difficult to find, but the '64-'65 type filter can easily be retrofitted; see here.

(minor point of info: "ATX" means "automatic transaxle". You haven't got a transaxle in your Dart, it's a transmission, sometimes abbreviated "AT".)

Oh yes, ATX - I had a flashback to when I used to have a neon and did a lot of posting.

I'm not sure when the bands were adjusted, but it's got fresh fluid in it from when a tranny shop fixed most of the leaks.
