I need a new trans for my 83 D150 with /6.
The original is an A833o/d
Which years/makes can these be found in? There are very few yards that have any of our slants available around here.
Will a np 435 be a direct replacement? again which vehicles can they be robbed from?
I know that a T5 will go with much head scratchin' and special parts,
any one source for these?Anyone here within 500 miles(Columbus/Ft. Benning Ga)with what i need, feel free to message my with your offers!

The NP 435 is NOT a good replacement for a 833. It has the super low "Granny" gear 1st.

Is yours rebuildable? I find these often at Pull a Part. slant trucks. I have seen them in late 70's-early 80's vans, Ramchargers and pickups. Seen them behind small blocks too.

Passon Performance in Pa. has the rebuild stuff. Probably Brewer's in Ohio too.
