I'll be ordering two sets. one for when I switch to the super manifold and one for another engine I will be building.

I wish I could open my own dedicated / 6 perf. supply store. Then I would order a whole pallet of them. {someone loan me 1 million}

Nice head gasket! I believe Dan was trying to work with a US manufacturer to get an MLS one made but to no avail. Good to know its an option now.

I bought 2 of the manifold > head gaskets. To be honest I was a bit surprised they were that thin and have my doubts about them sealing. I was expecting something maybe double as thick. Also, it looks like the edges are curled in, probably from the stamping machine that cut the steel inner layer. The flat side, is that supposed to go to the manifold or the head?

Seems like they work well by others reports so I'll take the risk and install one soon. I do like how the overall shape is a rectangle and doesn't follow the manifold outline. I have problems with mine blowing between the corner of the port and the short distance to the edge of the gaskets cut with triangles on the top.

Is that a true MLS head gasket? If so, what is the (actual) bore size of the gasket?

My intake/header gasket has a leak so I need to replace the gasket. I only want to do this once so which brand should I go with? These or remflex?

Ended up going with Remflex through Vic Hubbard Speed Shop, I hope it works.

It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting on the Australian order to come in... hopefully it'll be here soon because I, too, have heard nothing whatsoever about the order after I placed it through PayPal.

Thankfully I've got enough to do on THIS hobby that I don't have to have them immediately... but it would be nice if these guys would at least let you know they're shipping the doggone order!

In contrast, RockAuto.com has been AWESOME in responding to any questions and with their customer service. I can highly, HIGHLY recommend them for anything! It's a shame the Aussie guys can't be that good.

It took right at 4 weeks exactly to deliver the gaskets. I emailed several times with no reply and was ready to pursue a Paypal claim. If you order from them, be prepared to wait with NO customer service whatsoever. Look like great gaskets - just wish they'd keep in touch when asked questions.

I have been all over the Remflex, Vic Hubbard, and aussiespeed sites, and I'm not seeing the Remflex hotbox/intake-to-exhaust gasket. This thread was started four years ago - have they since been discontinued? I saw, Dan, that you were posting on other forums as recently as last month touting them, though - so where are they? Would like to get them on their way asap. Thanks, gentlemen.

Both the Remflex and the Aussie gaskets came as a set with the hot box gasket

FWIW, I've tried both, trying to avoid having my manifold surfaces machined. Neither one worked for long, so don't expect miracles. The aussie gaskets failed in one spot at the number 3 exhaust which blew over to the intake next to it creating an intake leak within 1 month. The remflex lasted a few months, but is now failing in 4-5 spots. I should have had it machined since they were not a matching set of manifolds (original '63 exhaust with '78 two barrel intake). Lesson learned.

I had no problems getting the Aussie Gaskets when I ordered them, but I think I will go with Remflex when I get my manifolds machined because they are made locally here in Washington.
