Hi every one, OK here is a bit of history on the injector bosses & flange relief cut outs...
The V1 hurricane was the the first with the small injector bosses & yes Doug did ask if i could get them made larger which we did. We did get feedback also to ask if we could blend the bosses into the flanges so if bosses were not used there was not these big ugly lumps sitting near the head flanges. we also had feedback and were asked could we have cut outs to fit the tags for the inlet & exhaust manifolds so there was good clamping pressure to get a good seal. as seen on the V2 this was done.

There is a lot of meat from the top of the boss to the port & if you grind through, you have simply gone to far & due to the design of the manifold by simply making the port mouth of the manifold extra large is a complete waste of time. spend the time grinding the short turn & around under the valve of your cylinder head & leave the manifold alone....

Back to the injector bosses, as there are many different types of injectors & to fit F.I it is will have to be a custom type set up so yes you may have to fit bungs to take your injector. There is enough metal there for you to fit a bung type injector holder. It is a trade off as the manifold was designed for a carb & good fuel distribution was the main focus when the manifold was designed... IT is difficult to keep every body happy with the design of any product. Much like our new slant valve cover that will be available shortly, some will think it looks real sharp others won't like it ... so the next manifold version that will be sent is a V3, that is exactly the same except the FI bosses are a bit shorter so the relief for the manifold tags dont have to be machined.. Also to DD, we did do the changes that you requested on the V2 but it was a bit of a hassle to fit the tags .. your manifold will be going in the next shipment & you will get the V3 4 barrel manifold... regards Mark

HI folks,

I have had a couple of emails from people asking about other items being able to be shipped with this group buy. It has been decided that just about anything that can be purchased via our webstore (www.pentastarparts.com.au/sunshop) can be added to the group buy. If there is anything of interest that you require, please feel free to contact me directly sales@pentastarparts.com.au

kind regards,
Ray

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your rundown on the manifold versions. Too bad people are concerned about big ugly lumps. The intake I have is quite nice and I look forward to trying it on a car soon.

Best,

Lou

I wasn't complaining Mark just voicing my concern. My head is port matched the large aussie permaseal int/exh gasket which is quite big. I will say this, my engine is reeeeeally going to like this intake.

Thats cool i just wanted to explain the different types, also we will be playing with some 3 into 1 extractors as we call them hear or i think you guys call them tubular headers. I just shelled out more money today for a new dyno that i hope to have soon just for more testing & development of more products to add to the AussieSpeed range. I hope to have some pics within the next 2 weeks of some new 9 inch air cleaners & our slant six valve cover is slowly moving forward.. the style will be based on the Aussie six pack hemi style 7 fin valve cover & will be available in black wrinkle, polished or shot blasted.pictured on the link below. it will be the same width as the std slant style with the smaller fins like the hemi 6 .

Mark, thanks for the progress report. When you are done with the valve cover, you can start on that aluminum slant cylinder head! :D :D :D

Oooh, he mentioned alum head again.

If you want to tackle this, Mark, I may have a contact in Oz for you, and at least 20-30 willing buyers in the US.

Lou

Wayne & Lou this is another reason we have just brought another dyno, we may be developing camshafts, the aluminum slant 6 head & our short style 3 into 1 headers.we want to expand the range of Aussiespeed slant six products & offer even more horse power...

I don't think they are MLS, but just a good composite?? I'm all ears on these too.

Mark, make sure to talk with Doc and I both before you start on an alum head project. I'm interested in helping.

Great!

Lou

I've never posted but have been lurking on these boards for a while. I know the deadline is coming up in a couple of days. I'd definitely be in for a 4bbl intake and gaskets[/img]
