I was minding my own business (or something) when I looked down and found this clip lying on the ground under the car. I know it "just arrived" because it wasn't dusty and I had just gone over the area dragging a huge magnet looking for a nut. I've seen it before but just can't place where it was or what it is. The pic came out about half again too big. Anybody?

I just checked the throttle kinkage and it's all there. As well, it's that torque type linkage, so wouldn't seem to match this thing. And the trans is a stick, so no kick down.

Thanks

Hm, it's a 1965, but I just put a 1973 trans in it...

If so it isn't off my car. Lawrence may have hit on something. I put this 1973 A833 OD in and haven't driven it since. I'm starting to think it was something that accidentally got dropped into a tranny cranny somewhere before I got it. It was under the front of the A833 when I spotted it. A bit to the side, like it had slipped off. Could have been caught behind a shift link lever. At first I thought maybe it was from the shift linkage, but those are those hairpin type thngs - and it isn't wide enough to go over a linkage lever.

Thanks guys

RK
