i am rebuilding my slant and can't remember if it comes with an oil slinger or not

So far I've found all the 60's slants I've torn do have the slinger... I notice that the 70's it became a hit or miss practice, and I haven't seen one on a cast crank slant as standard practice in cars....

I always put one in my rebuilds.

I agree with D.I.,I think it was fazed out in the early 70s.I have a 71 service manual that clearly shows and describes instalation of the oil slinger in all engines.Then I have a 75 and 77 manual that makes no mention of it.
