I have a 170 cu in which I put a two barrell onto a super six manifold. It's a little fat at 1400 rpm up to 3000, then it screams up to safety margins. LOL

Right now I have it off the 170. Should I forget putting it back on the 170 and instead put it on my 225 cu in 727. sweptline pickup. These are both nice sweptlines, but I,m a thinkin,.. no point in overcarbing the 170.

The 225 -727 is getting Dultra duals, but if I thought it worthwhile I could "maybe" do the 170 as well? These are both shortboxes and I really like both of them.!!

Right now, I am thinking,.. just leave the 170 as a original one barrel. What do you think. GL

ohh, keep the 63 original, and supe up the 67. My friend has a 67 sweptline with a 340 stroker, 2 toned paint, tunnel ram with high rise stickin out of the hood, and weld racing wheels, it looks awesome, even though i keep convincing him to slant it up lol.

if you keep up with the 63 and keep it as stock and original as possible, your returns will be much greater then doing any mods to it, but with the 67, it almost seems opposite, so if i where you i would make it a rod, and please get rid of that non power steering, my arms ache after driving my buddies, but it also reminds me of how valuable life is when roasting the tires at 1200 rpms ;)

I bet that little 170 will respond well to a staged 2BBl.

There were Holley (Weber Licenced) and Weber staged 2 barrels used on Pintos and Vegas. Rochester made one that shows up on small V6s and 250 truck engins. i think the Rochester was a 2SE. Search around on the site. I think several site members are running the Holleys.

I believe the 2SE looks like half a quadrajet.

I've got a 2-BBL on my 170 and I love it. The best mod I made to my car, but it does work well with everything else I've done.

hello. i put a weber 2 stage 32/36 with offy 4bbl intake on my sons 86 (stock) truck and it works great. this model is a little small so it lacks a little on the performance side, but he gets 20+ mpg, good idle. if it were my truck i would probably go with a 38/38 synchronous (both barrels open together) for more power.
