I don't have a Service Manual yet for this car, so I must ask: How many gallons of gas will a gas tank in a 1964 Dodge Dart 270 hold?

A 64 Valiant was 18, so I assume the Dart's the same.

Spectra Premium shows the '64-'66 A-body tank holds 18 gallons; that seems larger than what I remember as the factory spec but I could be wrong. Pretty sure the '60-'62 tank is 16 gallons.

18 is probably correct........

I recently filled up my 64 with 16.77 gallons.

The last gallon is probably unusable tooo......

So I was almost walking.

1967 FSM: all 111â€￾ wheelbase models have 18 gallon capacity. This was the last year for the single strap tank.
