My '72 Duster has 9" manual drum brakes and it needs a new master cylinder. My question is who sells the best one. I've already put on one from Carquest, it has a very hard pedal and started leaking after only 100 miles.

Thanks!

If the master cylinder you bought was a "remanufactured" item, that is likely why you had no luck with it. Fetch a new Raybestos MC36338, a NAPA United 36338, or a Bendix 11516.
