Oh I also forgot to mention. The car has been chugging a bit and when I took out the thermostat it ran much smoother. Still had the blow off problem. Must not like the thermo. :?

Running without the thermostat is the wrong way to do it - it increases engine wear and reduces fuel economy. Find and fix whatever problem(s) is/are causing the engine to run improperly when it reaches operating temperature.

I'm putting it back in today. I back flushed it yesterday and filling it soon as I get new radiator fluid at lunch.

I appreciate your help and will report back once we get it started again.
