Hey fellow Nebraskan, welcome to the forum. I know there is the guy that does the cylinder heads out here. Wish I could remember (its late). I'm sure someone will remember. Other than that guy, (i think out of grand island) not aware of any specific /6 specialists. There is a good machinist out there in Hastings NE. He does work for Shelby. It's called Gessford Machine @ 701 W. South st. (phone 402-463-9844) The guy is really good.

If you want the best of the best, call Mike Jeffrey in Lexington. 308/324-3576

I talked to him yesterday and he is just about done farming. Slant 6 work will be starting shortly.

Thanks, I was hoping for one a little further east, oh well. I'll have to get in touch with them.

My truck was originaly auto trans, I bought a 72 for body parts and it has a np435 in it behind a 318. Is there any chance the bellhousing is drilled for a slant as well? also how hard is it to find a flywheel for a slant that will work in there?

I just bought a slant with a 435 that I won't be using. If your bellhousing won't work I have the slant bellhousing, fork, flywheel, etc. If you're interested you can contact me at kdeboy<at>tmcc<dot>edu or call me at 775-750-2723. It's heavy though - better to find locally and avoid shipping costs.

Cheers,
Ken

Yep

I would trust Mike!

He is the only Slant 6 Shop in NE as far as I am concerned.

He is done farming, and is starting on my junk on Monday.

I shipped my stuff to him Frrom PA!

Mike has done 2 complete heads, a couple blocks, a complete motor assembly, a head repair, a couple freshen ups on heads, and 3 sets of rods/pistons. I am sure I'm driving past a lot of machine shops to get to his place from Chicago. :D
