Should I ditch the /6 T-bars? I know I really shouldn't be asking this on a slantsix board, but the previous owner of my dart, which will have a 318 or 360, put slant six t-bars in with no sway bar. What should I do to minimize body roll?

I was thinking t-bars with similar specs to the ones in the big block late '60s darts with a sway bar (what diameter??) and also a rear sway bar (again, diameter?) and trac bars and subframe connectors, so I can hook 'em well and have it handle well too. If it helps, it has 14x9 cragars for the back and 14x6 or 14x7 ralleyes for all 4 corners, depending what I want to use. I'm thinking BF Goodrich Drag radials for the cragars and Comp T/As or Radial T/As for the Ralleyes? That way depending on what I needed to do, I could just switch the rear wheels.

Stiffer T.Bars and some anti sway bays will really help reduce body roll so go for it. I would start with those changes first then go from there.

Sway bars are definitely the easiest way to cut down on body roll. I have an Addco 1 1/8" front bar on my Dart, and plan to add their 3/4" rear bar once I am done with my current project. The stiffer torsion bars won't be quite as effective at reducing body roll, but the 340-spec torsion bars in my slant six Dart sure do keep it from bottoming out.

Heavier T-bars are definitely good, but don't go nuts on a street car. The 0.870" stock V8 units, or the 0.890" BB units would work very well along with a front sway bar. If you have stiff rear leafs, you may not even need a rear sway bar, so do that later, after you have tested the frontend mods. Keep in mind that stiffer front suspension will generally give you a little less traction at the dragstrip. Lots more fun in the curvies though.

i have the addco bars front and rear on my car and the bb bars (.890) in it at the moment. im upgrading to the .920 bars and i need to do somthing with the rear springs(stock 4 leaf) . the ride on 225/50/15 tires is no harsher at the moment than a modern day sports car(vette, firebird, 3000gt, talon, etc). the handleing----well , lets just say i can pretty much match my friends stock aar cuda although the extra power he has seems to help him.
