Hey all,

Ok i was messing around with Desktop dyno, i read a chamshaft article i found on the net that was very basic but explained alot to me, anyways heres what i came up with on DDyno (NOTICE: I have the block set to be bored out .065", i'm trying to imitate a 198/2.2L setup  , also i have larger valves in, i'm not sure what's the max size in inches that can fit in a slant head (can anyone help me out here???) anyways, on to viewing)

Can you guys that understand all this stuff tell me if anything looks wrong or ????? i'm particularly interested in the camshaft part and all the degree's, timing, etc...

From my calculations at a 20% drive train loss, i'm making 270 HP and 255 FT/lbs torque, which means according to various 1/4mile calculators and a 3800lbs vehicle i could run a 14.6 @ 97MPH or in a 3600lbs vehicle (<this one i'm aiming for) i could run a 13.81 @ 99MPH

Thanks a million :D

Justin

You have the wrong stroke, the 198 rods will put the piston further up the bore not increase the total stroke. the stroke should be 4.125.
The valve sizes are reversed, my 300 Ford valves are 1.780 intake & 1.56 exhaust. try those changes.

Hey!

Thanks for tellin me about the changes, they made about a 35hp increase (i had 357HP  ) untill i played around with the cam to bring up the low and mid power :) I started off with the cam Lou (Dart270) is using and then went from there saying like the profile of the camshaft :)

I played around with the timing at BTDC, ABDC, BBDC, and ATDC, this is the area where i need the help now i guess :)

Justin
