Who makes the best gaskets for a slant ?

Mainly oil pump,oil pan,valve cover,fuel pump,etc.

Who makes the best head gasket ?

I have a /6 on a stand,getting ready for a rebuild,and am gathering the parts for it.

Thanks alot.

The Fel pro Complete engine set works fine in most situations - There are a few options for the Head gasket and intake / Exhaust gaskets, but If it's a stock build fel- pro.

Thanks Greg,
Planning on bumping up compression by shaving .090-.100 off the head. Just trying to find out what everyone is using ?

Thanks again.

Fel Pro will be fine for you in this situation.

Shop around a bit, as you can get most of the parts at a reasonable price for the slant from Northern, or PAW, etc... they tend to use Fel-Pro, Melling pumps/parts, etc...

Thank you D

Probably pick up Fel-Pro FS7918PT4. Full gasket set.
Rock Auto has it for $71.00

I think you get all the gaskets needed for much less of a price with the KS2103 gasket set (at least I've rebuilt engines with them and had plenty of spare stuff from the set....)

Interesting.......They look like they have the same amount of gaskets.

I wonder if the one has better qualtiy gaskets ?

Pretty sure Fel-Pro has 2 lines.

There is also a very useful list of parts, including gaskets, in the articles section of the forum: Slant Six Parts List.
