Just say no to silicone fluid!

I have found the newer DOT 3/4 fluids, usually touted as synthetic, Bleed much easier since they hold fewer small bubbles.

I have used Valvolines Synpower, Prestones "synthetic" and the latest Castrol LMA. They all seem to work very well. Worth a few more dollars than the cheaper DOT 3 only stuff.

I try not to use fluid from an open bottle if it has been around for very long, at least not for flushing or bleeding a system.

Fluid in a capped bottle keeps better than fluid in an old style cast iron master cylinder.
