This is my 1980 Dodge D-150 LWB. I bought this to be my daily driver and around the house work truck. It has the 225 /6 with a manual 3 speed with overdrive. It has 84,000 miles reading on the odometer but that is unverified. It doesn't look as if anything has been replaced. It has the original paint, stripe and interior. The red stripe is actually suppose to be gold on top and bottom with red in the middle. It even still has the Ram stickers on the sides of the front fenders. It has the original 8 track player in it and even has the book for it in the glove box along with the truck books. the last pic shows the dash after I painted it.... I thought it turned out pretty good.

well, enough rambling, just thought I'd introduce myself.......

I too have a 1980 D-150 short wheel base truck with 240,000 miles 225 slant 6 A833 OD that I bought new November 1979. I paid $4856 for it.

I love my truck! I plan for it to be a "lifetime" truck. :)

I would like to find a set of decent looking wheels and put a quick paint job on it this summer, but we'll have to wait and see what happens. The double headlights was the big draw for me to purchase this truck. I think it is the coolest grill!!

Nice truck! Was the interior originally white or did you repaint it the factory color?

I repainted it the original color. a lot of sun-fading had taken place on this ol' gal. The dash and panels are hard and brittle (can turn to dust with a simple finger nail rake) but look a lot better after painting them. This will be my driver but I still want her to look good.. 8) ... I have always loved inline sixes (This is my 6th driver/project) and have a different brand in the garage as my "project" right now, but I am really enjoying the Dodge. It is a great truck to be my driver. (Full size truck with 18-20 miles to the gallon is better than the 9-12 I am looking at with the other.. )

thanks for the comments guys and this is a great site, I am glad I found it... :D
