It looks like I'll be getting new (very old) 1961 225 slant six for my crazy painted 66 Dart.
I'll be using the dual 1bbl carb setup that I'm currently using on my 170 with the exhaust manifold hogged out to 2.25" to match the single exhaust with a turbo muffler.

Before I put the motor in the car, I would like to get some cam shaft and head cutting/valve suggestions. I don't want anything unreliable or overheating just a decent upgrade in performance. You can see the Dart at www.artracer.com

i drive my car everyday to work and school and where ever else i end up so i may be able to help with the reliable question. First depends on how much pep your looking for see im trying to stretch the meaning of street car i just keep looking for more power but when i first assembled my motor i used the erson 270 cam it will give you nice torque a decent sound at idle and never gave me any problems. Now i've upgraded to a much bigger cam a 238duration @.50 with .510 lift it still drives fine for me i do have a 4spd stickshift though the car used to be auto with the erson 270 cam. I also did the ebay oversize stainless steel valves "engine builer valves i think"? and did my home porting of the head. lots of fun but since u have a different carb intake/exhaust setup the smaller cam might be a better choice

Kevin

Thanks for the kind words about my Dart, I know it's not for everybody (it's for me!). I will look into the 270 cam.
