I pulled my Over center spring out at the Track one day after the clutch pedal stuck to the floor on a pass when shifting to 4th. - Took me about ~2 min with a pry bar from the trunk.

Mine came today, it looks great! Now I wonder what the stage 2A clutch was like? :twisted:

Can't wait to get this installed, this will be much better with less slip than the organic clutch. I'm wondering if I need to think about some new clutch bolts since all the sets I have are 30 years old+....

I installed the SD282-2 and have over the 1 1/2" of free play in the linkage. The adjuster link is to short. I am using '64 clutch linkage.
Long term usage report.

The clutch now has around 20,000 miles and about 30 passes down the strip and it is starting to slip. Most noticeable in 4th gear. I can haze the clutch rather easily. Maybe finally getting the carburetor right has pushed the power over the clutches rating. Not sure, I don't have the time to pull it and check on the lining.

That is disappointing. I guess I have $600 of new junk on the shelf (2 kits). I'll be trying the kevlar/ceramic one in the '64 Dart this year.

Finally got around to checking the clutch and found that it was out of adjustment. The throwout bearing was riding on the pressure plate. Everything is working fine for now.
