Yes, the 904 "family" of transmissions all have the same basic case and rear cross-member mounting location.

There are a lot of changes related to the year of the transmission, the biggest one was the change in 1966, going away from the cable linkage / rear flange set-up and to the mechancal / slip-in yoke version.
There is also the input shaft / converter change in 1968.

Simple answer, a 70 A-body 904 trans will bolt right into a 70 E-body, if already equipped with a 904.
