OK, my wife says shell scan the thing image soon. Scanner is attached to her PC not mine. I have 3 different /6 bells including mid a '60s 3-speed, cast iron 4-speed and a late multi-pattern one.

Mike,

I'm at Charrlie_S's house right now and we looked at that Ebay auction. I am 99% sure it's a multi-pattern OD bellhousing. Fits OD 833, and at least 2 other trannys.

I've got several, does he need to borrow one? (Best bet I think would be
a A-833OD multipattern (3 and 4 speed)

oh sexy pic ;) yea I snagged the ebay bell, hope to have it in a week or sooner, hitting up the boneyard again tomorrow, will the s-10 T5 work with the multi pattern bell ? or is the V8 mustang tranny the easiest of the T5's ?

This multi-pattern bell will only fit Chrysler trannys - no 5spds. You will need to have an adapter plate made to mount any T5.

Lou why won't the multi pattern fit a 5spd ?

I found a '95 5.0 T-5 for $200, sale isn't final, but I thought that would be the year to get to get for T-5's,

Btw ross said that the pattern needs to be within 0.0001"

Chrysler never used the T5 (at least not behind a slant) so none of the transmission bolt patterns on the bellhousing matches a T5. BTW, the bolt holes don't align the trans to the engine. The input bearing retainer aligns the trans to the bellhousing and the dowel pins align the bellhousing to the block. When dial indicating a bellhousing to a block you want less than .008" total indicator reading which is .004" off-center.

Naaah; Ross has all the info on input shaft lengths, tranny patterns etc; I'm quite sure all he'd need would be the engine side pattern, heck he could get that off of an auto tranny even.
but being he is in Iowa, it would be nice if we had someone relatively near there that's a member of the Forum to loan him a bell. I can only think of 1; there may be others; Hey; Roger (GTS 225) you out there?

Good info Josh, never realized always thought the bolt holes located the bell to trans. how hard would an adapter plate be to make ? What would the pattern look like ?

I called Quicktime the middle of June and the man told me to check back in 60 days so middle of August I'll call back.

I haven't had a chance to get back to them, what with my wifes medical problems. I will get to them next week. Things are getting more normal. I just got an e-mail, stating that Mr Gasket company just purchased Quicktime. Hope this doesn't adversly affect the slant six products.
