I was just browsing this thread and now I have to ask...

Is an adapter necessary? In other words, is there something special in the adapters or could someone just remove the adapter and wire straight to the terminals on the starter?

That works too, as long as you can dependably keep the big and little wires away from each other.

I just had to ask in case it wasn't as straight forward as it looked... The big and little wires are still molded in their rubber block from the factory. Thanks Dan, as always.
