the super six manifold i just installed on my valiant has cast into #5 runner "DEV 22" the part #4041043 is cast into #1, but i have not seen the DEV 22 before. anybody know what this means?

anybody??......im quite sure that this was not the only one made. IIRC this came off a 71 d100, so it was a transplant from something else. but, what?

Almost certainly not a consequential marking -- just a foundry/shift/tool/mould identifier or somesuch. I would disregard it entirely if I were trying to pick a manifold.

thats kinda what i thought too.......are markings like this found from time to time? it just seemd odd to me.
