Just got back from the track,best ever,ran a 8.015 and got a 1.648 60 ft.on the last pass beefore I pull it this weekend to put new engine in for Vegas.I am kinda questioning my self.What if the new one isnt as fast.I personally think I am nuts,pulling a perfect hard running engine for my,,,on paper better one.we will see.Guzzi Mark

but why not! that's the fun of it all! your making great progress and sure the new motor might not be as fast right out of the box but im sure you will have her cookin soon after! keep up the great work.

Dont sweat it Marc ,throw the back up motor in the truck,we can swap it in acouple of hours. I am sure the new motor will go 13.0001 at Vegas

Wow, i did some calculations and that 8.01 is equilavant to a 12.50 quarter. Heck this engine should go 12.80 in Vegas ,how much more hp do you estimate the new one to be, with an extra 40 hp you will be pushing 11,s. at sea level or good air.We are finally getting several west coast cars to fly. I am hoping my junk will go 13,s.

Well with me being the NEW guy in all this year... Hope to also be able get some help at the track..,. (NOT THAT WOULD BE AN ISSUE, after watching all you folks dive right in and assist is truley a awesome sight..)

Get the car this weekend...Hoping to give it a try at Redding Mar 13th, if the weather holds out... if not... in Las Vegas @ MATS

That motor is just getting broke in and finding a groove. When you pull it just dont REUSE anything... have it ready to drop back in, in its entireaty.
