Fopar suggested I post a pic of the head. It just came back from the Machine shop.

It now sports Bronze guides, has had a bit of port work, a fresh valve job, both the head and the intake have been gasket matched now. (The ports on the Offy were pretty small.)

We'll see how it works now. The only other changes will be a hard poly motor mount on the passenger side, and a new driveshaft.

This is what a slant six head looks like with 300 Ford Valves in it.

I wonder if Fopar is still wandering around in his Bunny Slippers.

I need to CC the head to see how much change has occured, if any.

Johnny supplied me with the "Hard" poly mount some time ago. I'm just now digging into the engine compartment, so will hopefully get it installed this weekend. Thor and I installed the driver's side almost a year ago.

THOR? You coming down to do an R&R? The new pan is all pretty and ready to be mounted!

Yes-huh, for the left side. See here. I have one of these, brand new, which I no longer need 'cause I sold my '71. Please send me a PM and buy it from me! :-)
