What will swap with the stock Slant water neck??

I want to get one that is "Straight Out" rather than the stock / factrory 90* angle.

Lou, I am getting that summit crossflow for ruster, like you have in the '64 What did you use? (for a water neck?)

I need the straight up water neck to route the upper rad hose to the left side of the engine bay.( for the crassflow rad.)

I need a similar one to get the thing (ruster) running.

I am looking for one on summit now, but there's a lot to choose from.

I have busted 2 older Rads putting on my electric fan, so it's time to upgrade. I was going to get this rad anyway...so might as well spend the dime now.

Thanks all sages for you help!

Greg

The 318 and 440 are the same but the slant takes a smaller T- stat(diameter). Now I don't know what year they changed the small block late model intake but it may be a match for the size of the slant. They are smaller and are stamped steel.May work.

Would This work?
http://summitracing.com/parts/DCC-44520 ... refilter=0

it's for the 1979- 93 Small blocks.

My main concern is the Bolt holes lining up and of course the t'stat Registereing in the housing correctly.

You could check around a see which engines use the same thermostat gasket-that would let you know what fits.

Thanks!

Yep 79 and newer LA Engines are the same as the slant.

78 and older are the bigger 2 1/4 T-stat Housing.

I bought one at Summit that was supposed to fit the '79 and later bb, but the hole spacing was still too wide. From what I could tell, none of those sold at Summit have the correct hole spacing for a /6. Someone had mentioned in an earlier post a chrome one from Mopar Performance that is supposed to fit, but I haven't located it yet.

Lou

yup Summit charges a hefty price for the thing, but it fits.

The holes are 5/16" on the stamped piece.

I just drilled them out to 3?8" for the slant.

Will work fine.

Probably one from a boneyard LA engine post 79 will work for a lot cheaper!

I have to dig around the garage for some comparison but a 2.2/2.5 4cylinder style out let may work. nico
